hala-bl-3ayal:

A compassionate human being is one who is considerate, kind, empathetic and loving; an individual whose a magnet for others irrespective of gender, creed, background or denomination.

If you and I want to look at a man who is truly the crystallization of love and compassion, then that individual was Hussain ibn Ali (a.s.).

Hussain (a.s.) was a man of humanity; an individual who would shed his tears when he sees the state of his enemy. A man who would serve people, as well as animals.

When he saw that the enemy were thirsty and that he had water for his family and his companions, knowing very well that the water supply would be cut off from him, he would serve those who had come to surround him in the heat of the desert, and would personally feed the horses. He was a man who’d looked at people with such kindness and such warmth.

May the next time we think of compassion, we think of Hussain (a.s.) …

If Imam al-Hussain (a.s.) went out to quench his worldly desires, then why is it that he took his sister, his wife, and his children?

It stands to reason, that Imam al-Hussain (a.s.) only went out to please Allah (swt); to sacrifice himself for this religion, for you and me to know the right path.

Your souls are only deserving of paradise, do not sell them for anything less.

Imam al-Hussain (a.s.)

Martyrdom of Imam al-Askari (a)

“Worship is not abundant fasting and praying, but worship is abundant pondering; it is the continuous thinking of Allah.“

[Bihar al-Anwar, vol.78 p.373]

Muhammad used to say the three men viz., Ezekiel, Habib Najjar and Ali, who came forward first to bear testimony to the faith of their prophets Moses, Jesus, and himself respectively, were acknowledged as Siddiq. Ali repudiated the claim of any other to this epithet.
